Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Is It Going To Cost?
The best way to determine the costs for electrical work is to call for an estimate. We can give you a general idea over the phone, but until we are able to determine the existing electrical system and diagnose any possible problems or advantages your home/business has, we cannot give a 'for sure' price. All of our pricing is honest and will never be filled with unnecessary 'fluff'.
When Can Someone Be Here?
We stay well staffed with only the best electricians to meet the needs of our clients. In most cases, we can offer same day service, especially the earlier you call in. Call us and we will find a time that works for you!
Will I Have To Wait Around All Day?
NO! Unlike many contractors, Steve Carter Electric knows that your time is valuable, therefore we will give you an exact appointment time and arrive at least 5 minutes before that just to make sure we're on time!
Can You Guarantee I Will Be Satisfied With Your Work?
All Steve Carter Electric service work comes with 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with the service we have provided, we will do what is necessary to rectify any concerns. If a repair fails in the first year, we will repair it again free. Contact us for more information!
What Are My Payment Options?
Payment options include, cash, check and Master Card/Visa. Invoice options are available for government and corporate accounts.
When Can The Work Start?
Once you decide to partner with Steve Carter Electric, we will schedule the work to begin as quickly as we can based on our current workload. Most jobs can begin within a couple of days or less. Once we set an appointment to begin a job, we will not schedule any other jobs that would interfere with those technicians completing that job as quickly as possible. We work to be out of your way as quickly as possible, disrupting your daily routine as little as possible, while delivering the best electrical service available.
Am I Going To Be Without Power?
In Some Cases We May Have To Disconnect Power. If circumstances require power to be disconnected, the electrician will inform you before he begins the work.
If I Have Any Other Electrical Work That Needs To Be Done, Besides The Work That I Initially Called In For, Will My Electrician Complete That Work Too?
Yes! Have your list of items for estimate prepared for our electrician to look at while he is at your home or business. If the job(s) are minor, the electrician may be able to complete those items in the same day as your other scheduled service. Otherwise, an appointment will be scheduled for him to return at the first available appointment, so that we can honor our other clients previously scheduled work.
When Should You Call An Electrician?
Remember, calling Steve Carter Electric isn't going to cost you a dime. We will talk you through many situations and offer a free estimate for any work that needs to be done, so don't hesitate to pick up the phone if you just need some help or advice!
Not only does the State of California have strict regulations on all electrical work, with most needing permits of some kind, but doing electrical work yourself is often a gamble. How much are you willing to risk to save money and how much will you truly save in the long run if you do the work incorrectly? There is a reason why it takes so much training to become an electrician. Do not make a mistake by taking electricity lightly, because even the smallest job could be a safety hazard. Why take a chance? Once again, give us a call just to ask if there are any regulations or permits you need to be aware of before moving forward on your own. And, as always, if in doubt, get a professional to do the work, so you can get the work done with peace of mind!
